Dear valued member of our community, Late Friday evening, the NEA withdrew grants from countless arts nonprofits across the country. Unfortunately, INTEMPO was one of them: We lost $10,000 in already-awarded funding to support our Cultural Crossover Concert, which took place last month at Norwalk City Hall and showcased over a hundred young musicians from across Fairfield County.
If you were there, you know that it was a magical evening, brimming over with joy, pride, kinship and great music. It also cost a significant amount of money to produce, and this $10,000 in lost NEA funding represented one-third of our budget. As a result, we have to raise money elsewhere so that the concert — our signature event — does not result in a deficit.
Please help us fill this unexpected $10,000 shortfall. This isn’t the first challenge we’ve faced and overcome; nor will it be the last. With your support, we know that we will emerge strong.
Make a donation today.
With gratitude and determination,
Lou Chen
